La portavoz del GPP en el Grupo de Trabajo de Políticas Sociales, Rosa Romero

• The GPP spokesperson in the Social Policy Working Group calls on the government for "homogeneous criteria" so that the Minimum Vital Income is applied under conditions of equality for all citizens, in the face of "the risk and danger" of duplicities and inequalities between beneficiaries according to the territory in which they live

• It demands that said benefit be linked to active employment policies and warns that if Spain continues to destroy employment, “we will hardly be able to pay it”. "Fiscal stimuli are needed to reactivate our economy, and so that the labor insertion itinerary that must be accompanied by the minimum income leads to job creation," he stresses.

• Remember that the IMV is a benefit in force "for years" in many communities, such as Madrid, and stresses that now that it is going to be applied throughout the national territory, it must be done in a coordinated manner so as not to aggravate regional discrimination, after allowing that only the Basque Country and Navarra manage it: "Why are some Communities going to manage it and others not?"

• He warns that this benefit is born by eliminating essential aid for many families, such as the child benefit – “whether or not he is a dependent”, he specifies – and regrets that it was undertaken without first meeting the Sector Conference and without dialogue with the social agents and the Third Sector

• Calls parliamentary groups to the agreement "to provide solutions to citizens and the most vulnerable people" in the face of the "devastating" data of the health, economic and social crisis that is ravaging Spain

• Congratulates the Third Sector for its work in helping the most vulnerable during the crisis, and demands that the Government rectify its decision to cut funds for social action NGOs and launch an additional fund to consolidate its response to "the queues of people in streets of towns and cities
