The deputy of VOX in the General Meeting of the Principality, Sara Álvarez Rouco, has demanded this morning at the appearance of the Minister of Finance in the COVID-19 Follow-up Working Group the suspension of the payment of subsidies to unions, business organizations , political parties, and associations or entities whose activity is not commercial in nature, and is not directly linked to the guarantee of employment, health, citizen security, food or housing for those most in need, and fully transfer these funds to fight against the effects of the pandemic and its economic consequences.
In the opinion of the deputy, "maintaining these subsidies to dispensable associations, to institutions without function and to partisan associations, the Principality shows what their scale of priorities is and it is clear that among them are not the Asturians". In this sense, Álvarez Rouco has made the Minister of the Treasury ugly the fact that “all of us who work and produce, saw and see how our income decreases and we are subjected to a comparative grievance with associations and groups that do not produce or wealth, Neither employment nor economic benefit and continue to receive the same aid. " Likewise, the deputy recalled that the Parliamentary Group VOX Asturias presented a Proposition no law (PNL) to the Board of the Principality on April 15, urging the regional government to immediately suspend these aid to political parties, unions and associations and use the funds to fight the COVID-19 crisis.
On the other hand, during her speech, the deputy criticized the aid of 400 euros to the self-employed raised by the regional government because "far from helping the group" it is "a measure that only seeks self-promotion and advertising" because , “They have created a labyrinth in which the great majority of those who aspire to obtain aid are lost. Four filters have to pass ”. Thus, – continues Álvarez Rouco-, “only the self-employed individuals can access, not the corporate self-employed, leaving out a large number of them; the turnover of the business must be 30,000 euros or less; they have to be included as non-essential activities in Royal Decree 463/2020, and, also if they meet these three requirements, they must commit, regardless of whether the business is going well, bad or regular, to continue six more months with their activity because if no, you will have to return the aid ”. “The Asturian freelance must overcome an obstacle course and excludes a large number of them. This is a measure facing the gallery, "concludes the deputy.
