The deputy of VOX in the General Meeting of the Principality, Sara Álvarez Rouco, has transferred this morning during the appearance of the Minister of Health in the Working Group to follow up on COVID-19 the concern of the parliamentary group about the protocols and supply criteria of protection material both to the residences of the Third Age, as well as to the toilets after repeated complaints from groups about the lack of protection. "The counselor has once again insisted that they comply with Health protocols and from VOX Asturias we have once again asked that they should abandon the central government's policy of follow-upism because Asturias has its own needs and its peculiarities, and the solution is not to make the performance of the Principality to the criteria of Madrid ”, emphasizes the deputy.
Likewise, Álvarez Rouco has regretted the high number of infections among healthcare professionals and has asked the department head for explanations because “it is one of the thermometers of how the department and the Principality are acting. The data confirm that there is no anticipation and that the management is disastrous, "says the deputy. During Question Time, Álvarez Rouco asked about de-escalation measures for lack of confinement and if Health plans to let children out, play sports or allow solitary walks in the short term. "VOX is very concerned about the long-term health effects of the pandemic on the population, both physically and mentally, and therefore we demand that there be a provision to combat the effects of the coronavirus."
In this sense, the deputy has insisted on the “need for Health to have a protocol in place to resume healthcare activities not related to COVID-19, as well as to know the actions planned by the Ministry in the future to alleviate waiting lists once normality returns. ”
