There is a presence in Wuhan of about twenty affected Spanish, with whom the Consulate of Spain in Beijing is in permanent contact.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, EU and Cooperation activated a crisis cell last Friday to follow up on events in China. This cell carries out an exhaustive monitoring of the evolution of the situation and coordinates contacts with other Ministries -Health-, with the Embassy and Consulate of Spain in Beijing, with the Chinese authorities and with the affected Spaniards.
Different options are currently being considered to try to assist the Spaniards in Wuhan, in coordination with other countries that also have affected people in the area.
