The OECD places Spain in eighth place among the countries with the most COVID-19 tests performed


In the last seven days, between May 15 and 21, the Autonomous Communities have increased their capacity to carry out this type of diagnostic tests by 16%.

In addition, the PCR rate carried out up to that date has grown to stand at 47.2 per 1,000 inhabitants.

Along with the PCR diagnostic tests performed, the Autonomous Communities have also reported the completion of a total of 1,335,070 rapid antibody tests, representing a rate of 28.3 per 1,000 inhabitants and an increase of 19% compared to the last week. In the cases of Aragon and the Balearic Islands, this statistic includes Ac serological tests.

In total, since the beginning of the epidemic, 3,556,567 diagnostic tests of COVID-19 have been carried out so far, of which 518,727 correspond to the last week.
