Health extends the collection of epidemiological data from the Autonomous Communities to face the transition to a new normal


In the last seven days, between May 22 and 28, the autonomous communities have increased their capacity to carry out this type of diagnostic tests by 14%. Furthermore, the PCR rate carried out up to that date has grown to 53.8 per 1,000 inhabitants.

Along with the PCR diagnostic tests performed, the Autonomous Communities have also reported the completion of a total of 1,527,609 rapid antibody tests, representing a rate of 32.4 per 1,000 inhabitants and an increase of 14% compared to the last week. In the cases of Aragon, the Balearic Islands, Catalonia and La Rioja, this statistic includes Ac serological tests.

In total, since the beginning of the epidemic, 4,063,843 diagnostic tests for COVID-19 have been carried out so far, of which 507,276 correspond to the last week.
