This meeting of businessmen was held within the framework of the collaboration agreement signed this year by ADEMAN and ANIP to strengthen the wood sector in Navarra. Under this agreement, both organizations they pledged to promote the exchange of information between the two entities and to promote joint work opportunities for the wood sector, such as the day that was organized yesterday at CEN.
Wood utilities in the radiant floor system
The president of the FEPM, Justino Sevillano, was in charge of opening the day, ensuring that "we must demystify the use of wood for the radiant floor system." In fact, in the north and the center of Europe the use of this product is very frequent in the model of home heating using underfloor heating. However, as denounced by the national president of the wood flooring sector, there are prejudices towards the use of wood in this system.
During the day, the utilities of wood in the paving of radiant system floors were addressed, as a sustainable way of ensuring significant energy savings. To do this, the session was attended by companies and experts nationwide who referred to the sustainable qualities of wood and presented success stories of wood paving in this type of soil.
As Sevillano acknowledged at the opening of the meeting, "Wood is a unique product in terms of quality, warmth and efficiency." In this regard, he recalled the great sustainability of wood production in terms of lower energy consumption, as well as its insulating capacity that is very useful for the radiant floor system. In short, wood not only offers optimal technical solutions, but also provides extraordinary warmth and comfort to the home, in conditions that are totally respectful of the environment.
Disinformation regarding wood sustainability
The opening of the meeting was also carried out by ADEMAN's manager, Patricia López, and the director of the Natural Environment Service of the Government of Navarra, Fermín Olabe, who acknowledged that “there is still immense misinformation” regarding the environmental qualities of wood .

Behind him, the president of ANIP, Jesús Urriza, explained the “perfect combination” between radiant, cooling floor and the wooden floor. In the final part of the meeting, the architect of the Madrid-based architecture studio Bueso-Inchausti & Rein, Alejandro Bueso-Inchausti, referred to the role of wood in the architecture of the radiant plane and will present works by the study.
