Reduction of superfluous expenses
VOX Zaragoza is committed to reducing superfluous expenses. Such is, in the opinion of VOX, the item destined to the contribution to the functioning of the municipal groups. An item comprising 643,038 euros to be distributed among the 6 groups. And there are still 160,759.32 euros to be distributed as of this November 13.
The councilor for VOX, Carmen Rouco, has asked the rest of the municipal groups not to claim this amount, following the example of VOX. Rouco recalls that "the City Council already contributes the expenses of temporary staff and office", so he asks that "for what purpose do the rest of the groups allocate this item”.
In the previous year, VOX returned 16,515.15 euros, which is 90% of its allocation. No other group returned any amount to the public coffers. “If a group like ours that has 2 councilors (the same as Podemos-Equo) does not use more than 16,000 euros, PSOE, PP, Ciudadanos and ZEC will be in a position to return a larger amount. Given that this allocation is based on the representation they have obtained in the City Council ”, adds Carmen Rouco.
Likewise, Julio Calvo believes that spending on the Corporation's Protocol Service items can be reduced. And the Service, Assistance and Communications Management Contracts.
They have an allocation of 180,000 and 725,000 euros respectively, of which there are already payment obligations of 22,403 and 444,840.71 euros in each of them. "These items include all the photographs they take of the mayor and then post on their social networks. For example, the photographs taken by Jorge Azcón in the charity match Basket against Cancer last December in the Siglo XXI pavilion cost the people of Zaragoza 157.30 euros. The photographic session of the Papa Maño biker celebration, another 121 euros. Is it really a necessary expense for the city? ”, Concludes Julio Calvo.
