In this way, the citizen does not have to know the attention numbers of each administrative service dispersed in the different ministries and public bodies.
Today, about 230 telephone lines from different administrative bodies and more than 20 citizen assistance services have been integrated into Telephone 060 platform, for example, assistance to victims of terrorism, payment of traffic fines, prior appointment at traffic headquarters, complaints to the police, immigration procedures, prior appointment of DNIe and passport, meteorological attention or information on public employment and selection processes.
The latest services that have been incorporated are the consular emergency and crisis service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation, the service for responding to requests for information on procedures and services provided by the Ministry of Science, Innovation or Universities and telephone assistance to citizens in relation to the effects of Brexit.
Almost 11 million calls a year
Telephone 060 is an intelligent network telephony platform that permanently supports citizens (24x7x365), and offers a specialized information service in the General State Administration that allows direct centralized attention to citizen calls, and refer them, if necessary, to specialized operators in the different subjects.
Currently, an average of 900,000 calls a month (10.8 million calls a year) are handled.
