VOX DPZ wants the province of Zaragoza to be up-to-date in Internet connections. Carlos Rodrigo, Spokesperson for the VOX Political Group in the Zaragoza Provincial Council, has presented a motion for the government to help fulfill the European digital agenda.
Rodrigo proposes to urge the Government of Spain to approve fiscal aid. And to request financial aid from the European Union for Telecommunications companies in the province of Zaragoza. The objective: to benefit individuals, companies and municipalities of this province, to avoid the depopulation syndrome.
The VOX deputy in the DPZ demands an obligatory calendar that favors the gradual and effective implementation of Internet connections. VOX DPZ wants the province of Zaragoza to be up to date in Internet connections and possibilities in Telecommunications. Talking about the Network is talking about all the socio-economic development possibilities of a country. And for this, the European Digital Agenda should be fulfilled, says Carlos Rodrigo.
The European Digital Agenda
This Agenda, for the year 2020, considers it necessary for 100% of the population to have access to the Internet at least 30 Mbps. In fact, according to studies by the European Commission, an increase of 10% in broadband penetration it entails a GDP growth of between 1% and 1.5% of the national, local and regional economy.
For this reason, VOX DPZ wants the Telecommunications capacities of the province of Zaragoza to be comparable and required at the European level.
