The president of the Confederation of Balearic Business Associations (CAEB), Carmen Planas, has presented the communication campaign “The value of security”, a collection of video capsules starring companies, institutions and experts who give examples of good practices and advice whose purpose is to raise awareness about occupational risk prevention.
Planas stressed that “from CAEB we promote safety and health in the work environment and we do it proactively with multiple initiatives because our mission is to support our business fabric and promote the culture of prevention and, in a very special way, between SMEs and microenterprises ”. In addition, “the financing of the State Foundation for the Prevention of Occupational Risks allows us to develop an intense work of advice, information and dissemination”.
The president of CAEB has valued “the work that companies do in the field of occupational risk prevention” and added that “offering safe and healthy work environments is a key factor in being competitive companies because companies are people and if people are fine, businesses work well. ”
The bell “The value of security” is a collection of video capsules hosted on the channel CAEBTV which is available to companies permanently. In addition, all the awareness material in favor of occupational health and safety is present on the CAEB website and has been disseminated through digital channels and the main social networks, including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. "We wanted to give it the maximum dissemination that new technologies allow today to boost the preventive culture between employers and workers, because prevention is everyone's business," explained the president of CAEB.
Video capsules have been structured to cover the widest possible range of facets that make up the scope of prevention. In this sense, they include messages in which companies such as Melia Hotels, Angel24, Garden Hotels or Mecanizados Luna, provide experiences of good practices and also contain recommendations and advice from institutions, experts and consultants specialized in advising in the field of security and occupational health.
It is worth noting the participation of collaborating entities such as Cuatrecasas, Full Audit, Mutua Balear, PrevenControl, Previs and Psicopreven. At the institutional level, the National Institute for Safety and Health at Work (INSST), the International University of La Rioja (UNIR), the Optimistic Hospital Foundation and the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) of Balears
The campaign also has the contributions of experts in occupational safety and related areas such as psychosociology, people development, age-management, professional transformation, osteopathy, fasciotherapy, coaching, training and preventive communication .
“The culture of prevention contributes to the fulfillment of the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda”
“We want to extend the culture of prevention and the concept of a healthy company among the Balearic companies within the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals established by the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations,” said Carmen Planas.
Specifically, the campaign favors the implementation of SDG 3, related to ensuring a healthy life and promoting well-being for all at all ages; SDG 6, which promotes gender equality; SDG 8, which defends decent work and economic growth; SDG 9, referring to industry, innovation and infrastructure, and SDG 17, which Carmen Planas has highlighted “is crucial for the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda agreed by the United Nations, since the success of all actions aimed at advancing in the fulfillment of the objectives of sustainable development requires alliances between governments, the private sector and civil society ”.
