The CEOE Foundation and Caritas have signed a framework agreement whereby both organizations commit to Promote mutual collaboration for social purposes. Those responsible for initiating the agreement have been the CEOE CEO, Antonio Garamendi, and the president of Cáritas Española, Manuel Breton.
Among the commitments reached is the organization of an annual event aimed at companies in the social field in matters of common interest such as the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, corporate social responsibility, the role of women in business or the importance of social economy, among others.
Likewise, the CEOE Foundation will disseminate those relevant events carried out by Cáritas that are of interest to the companies associated with the Business Confederation. Last October, the Foundation already organized a day at its headquarters for the presentation to the business world of the FOESSA Report on exclusion and social development in Spain 2019.
Similarly, the CEOE Foundation will echo Caritas help campaigns through the web and social media, with the aim of Contribute to mobilize business solidarity and channel possible donations.
Another line of collaboration included in the agreement between the two entities refers to the scope of volunteering and provides for the participation of CEOE employees as volunteers in the various activities launched from Cáritas Española, as well as cooperation in confederate events in schools or courses of executives organized by the entity, among other activities, all of them aimed at enhancing collaborations between companies and social entities.
