The President of CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, has participated this Friday in a meeting with S.M. the Kings in the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, as part of the visit that the monarchs are making to the Basque Country, in which the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arancha González Laya, members of the Basque Government and a large business representation have also participated, both national and regional.
During the meeting, which took place around the painting "The great garden", by Rafael Ruiz Balerdi, the Kings conveyed their encouragement to Basque businessmen and were interested in the situation generated by COVID-19 in the productive fabric and how you cope with recovery.
For his part, Garamendi recalled that "talking about the Basque Country and talking about business is totally united". "We have been working in industry and services in this land for 500 years," he said.
He then recalled that, as was revealed at the Business Summit held last June at the CEOE headquarters, "it is private initiative that has to be the great activator of the economy." "We want to talk about industry, digitization and innovation and dual training," he added.
