The Civil Guard and the ONCE Foundation sign a general protocol of action to improve the full inclusion of people with disabilities

The lines of collaboration agreed through this protocol, which consolidate the relationship that had been maintained since 2015, are aimed at improving the work carried out by the Civil Guard, contributing to its dissemination, importance and knowledge, thereby promoting the culture of safety among the collective of people with disabilities and their families; as well as to promote social inclusion and the fulfillment of the rights of people with disabilities and their families within the framework of the security functions carried out by the Corps.

United.

For this purpose, the Monitoring Commission will establish a work plan that will articulate the specific activities to incorporate collaboration both at a professional, training and cultural level between both entities throughout the national territory, within the purpose of this Protocol. These activities include the following:

  • Training, theoretical and practical activities in specific fields of both organizations that have a projection in the other.
  • Advice on labor issues and promotion of employment for personnel with disabilities, in order to facilitate their social and labor reintegration and gain access to quality employment.
  • Advice on the promotion of accessibility within the tasks usually carried out by the Civil Guard.
  • Contribute to the dissemination and effective exercise of the rights of people with disabilities and their families.
  • As well as how many others are considered of mutual interest, within the availabilities of the parties and of the activities that are the object of this protocol.

This alliance between the Civil Guard and the ONCE Foundation will have a favorable impact on the corporate social responsibility policy that the Institution has been practicing, in addition to improving the security capabilities that the ONCE Foundation can provide within the Corps's areas of action.

The Civil Guard is an Institution that is characterized by its closeness to the citizen, and that is especially sensitive to the most vulnerable groups in society, an aspect that has been integrated into the commitments made with the new Sustainability Plan.
