The Civil Guard carries out actions for the benefit of different groups in Córdoba and Cáceres

In La Victoria (Córdoba) food and medicine have been delivered to poor people in the locality

Sanitary material has been distributed in 29 nursing homes in the province of Córdoba

In addition, the agents have collaborated in the distribution of textbooks to numerous schoolchildren in Coria (Cáceres)

The Civil Guard has carried out different actions for the benefit of different groups in the provinces of Córdoba and Cáceres with the distribution of food, medical and school supplies. It is framed within the missions entrusted to the Institution since the state of alarm was decreed.

Food delivery

In the town of La Victoria (Córdoba), the Civil Guard, together with the City Council and the local Association of Civil Protection Volunteers in the municipality, has distributed food and medicine to people in situations of risk or vulnerability.
The agents, after collecting the food that was to be distributed among these families, proceeded to transfer and deliver them, informing them of the provision by the Civil Guard to help them in case they needed it.

Delivery of medical supplies

On the other hand, in the province of Córdoba, the transfer of medical equipment to 29 elderly homes located in the municipalities of Aguilar de la Frontera, Baena, Belalcázar, Belmez, Benamejí, Castro Río, Espiel, Lucena, Montilla, Montoro, Palma del Río, Pedroche, Peñarroya, Pozoblanco, Priego de Córdoba, Puente Genil, Rute, Torrecampo, Villanueva de Córdoba, Villanueva del Duque and Villanueva del Rey.
The Civil Guard during the state of alarm is promoting all activities related to the Greater Security Plan. Among them, maintaining close contact with all nursing homes in the province, as well as paying special attention to all vulnerable groups, especially in isolated or sparsely populated areas.

Distribution of school supplies

Agents of the Civil Guard of Coria (Cáceres), with the collaboration of the Local Police, have delivered 400 batches of textbooks corresponding to the last quarter of the academic year to the families of infant and primary students of various schools in this locality.
The action has been carried out so that these educational centers could deliver the books to the students and avoid crowds of parents outside the schools and thus minimize the risk of Covid-19 infections. In this way, students have been able to continue their teacher training despite the closure of schools.
This initiative is part of the “Master Plan for the Coexistence and Improvement of School Safety in Educational Centers and their Surroundings” and based on the collaborative actions that the Civil Guard has been carrying out since last March the setting the current alarm status.
