The Civil Guard denounces a married couple who had to remain in isolation and was shopping in a La Rioja supermarket

The day before the events, one of those punished underwent the Covid 19 test, showing obvious symptoms of being infected.

They failed to comply with all medical recommendations and the obligation to remain in isolation at home

One of the penalties they face ranges from 3,001 to 60,000 euros

The Civil Guard has identified and sanctioned a couple who were shopping at a supermarket in Calahorra (La Rioja), when they had to remain in isolation at home. They are a man and a woman, 49 and 38 years of age and residing in the Rioja town of Autol.

The marriage was intercepted by a citizen security patrol, after being detected shopping together in a supermarket in Calahorra (La Rioja). During the identification process, the male gave the officers a medical certificate of having undergone the conronavirus test the day before, for obvious symptoms of being infected, the marriage failed to comply with all medical recommendations and the obligation to remain in isolation in your address until you receive the final result of the test.

For this reason, both people face a double penalty, for failing to comply with the limitations in circulation – not being done individually – and for producing a serious risk to the health of the population – by not keeping the isolation at home.
This last sanction – included in Law 33/2011 on Public Health – is the most serious and involves an economic amount that ranges between 3,001 and 60,000 euros.
