The Civil Guard has arrested the 23 members of a network dedicated to drug trafficking and that was involved in a murder. They are charged with the crimes of integration in Criminal Organization, drug trafficking, money laundering and murder.

Also, they have been carried out 13 records in Segovia, Madrid and Miranda de Ebro (Burgos), where 12,779 kilos of high-purity cocaine valued at more than 750,000 euros, several doses of hashish ready for sale, 5 mid-range and high-end vehicles and more than 7,000 euros have been seized in metalic.

The investigation began after detecting an increase in the sale of narcotic substances, especially cocaine in leisure areas of Segovia capital and nearby towns.

After the first inquiries the agents identified several people who could be linked to a network of drug distribution, based in Madrid, which supplied distribution points located in Segovia, Miranda de Ebro (Burgos) and Leganés (Madrid) and which had strong security measures, in order to hinder police work.

In the course of the investigations, it was also learned of the possible commission of a murder between members of the organization in Miranda de Ebro (Burgos). At the beginning of May, the corpse of a person with evidence of violence was found in an area of ​​meanders of the Ebro River, in the hamlet of Montañana (Burgos), a few kilometers from Miranda de Ebro. Because of these events, another operation was developed in the aforementioned town of Burgos.

On the other hand, the agents found out that a member of the group was going to travel to South America in order to import a important amount of drug. Thanks to the monitoring carried out on the objectives, on 24 May a passenger returning from South America was located at the Barajas airport, and upon identification and verification of his belongings, it was possible to verify how he was transporting hidden in double suitcase funds. amount of 11,370 kilos of cocaine of extreme purity.

Parallel to these events, the network continued with its trips to the Segovian capital, which allowed a vehicle transporting 1,316 kilos of cocaine to be intercepted on June 23, drawing attention to the high degree of sophistication in the method of concealment of cocaine. the drug.

After that, on June 24 and 25, the Civil Guard investigators detained the members of the organization and carried out simultaneous searches in Madrid and Segovia.

The different lines of research followed allowed to locate in Leganés (Madrid) an address that could house a laboratory to "cook" drugs, continuously guarded by two people.

The agents establish a surveillance device on these two people, resulting in the last day 2 of the arrest of one of them on public roads.

Subsequently the house was registered, where besides stopping the other member, a room was located ready with all the necessary tools and substances for "cook" drug, seizing 88 grams of cocaine ready for adulteration and multiplication, 48 grams of amphetamine, 2 grams of methamphetamine, 6 liters of acetone, 6 kilos of substance for cutting, scales, heat sealers, presses, molds, mixers, and safety material personnel for the handling of chemical products.

The operation has been developed by agents belonging to the Organic Unit of Judicial Police of the Civil Guard Command of Segovia, who have had the collaboration of members of the Special Group of Underwater Activities (GEAS), Cynological Service specialized in the search of biological remains, Special Intervention Unit (UEI), Rural Security Group (ARS), USECIC, National Center for the Disappeared (CNDES), Center for Intelligence against Terrorism and Organized Crime (CITCO).
