The Civil Guard detains a businessman who illegally purchased buses and used them to transport passengers

The Civil Guard, in the framework of the "Bustalva" operation has arrested MDB, a 45-year-old businessman from the transport sector and a neighbor of Talavera de la Reina (Toledo), for illegally acquiring buses in renting mode that he subsequently made available of transport companies of travelers, minors and tourists without the corresponding legal guarantee, leaving drivers and passengers out of coverage in insurance policies.
The alleged crimes of documentary falsehood, fraud and misappropriation are charged. During the practiced registrations 19 buses have been intervened and the total stoppage of the activities of their companies has been achieved
Agents have been able to verify that they could have fraudulently obtained economic benefits that exceed 3.2 million euros since 2017.
The operation began when agents of the Traffic Sector of Madrid detected contracts made with falsified documentation of a bus company dedicated to the service of transport of travelers, minors and tourists.
After analyzing the tax and tax information collected during the investigation, it was known that it was not an isolated case, since numerous irregular contracts were detected in other companies of the now detained, in which they had also falsified the data related to renting payments and omitting that it did not fulfill the payment obligations contracted with the companies that own the buses.
The suspect managed an important fleet of buses in renting based in Talavera de la Reina (Toledo) and performed passenger transport services nationwide without the companies that hired their services were aware that they had been acquired illegally, being carried out therefore, the services provided without legal guarantee and therefore the drivers and travelers remain out of coverage in the insurance policies.
Following the efforts carried out by the agents, it was possible to locate the whereabouts of all appropriate buses improperly in the provinces of Madrid, Toledo, Valencia, Malaga, Almeria and Zaragoza and that were being used for passenger transport services by The whole national territory.
The operation has been developed by agents belonging to the Traffic Sector of the Civil Guard of Madrid.
