The Civil Guard detains the three occupants of a vehicle that evaded a verification check of the confinement

The Civil Guard has detained the three occupants of a vehicle that attempted to evade a verification check of the confinement of the population on the N-340 road, in the municipality of Vilafranca del Penedés (Barcelona). Furthermore, it was verified that the driver did not have a driving license and that the vehicle had been stolen.
For this reason, the now detained are charged with the alleged crime of theft of motor vehicle use, and the driver is also charged with another alleged crime for reckless driving and lacking a driving license.
The action was carried out on the 29th when the agents, who were carrying out a preventive control to verify the confinement of the population, detected the arrival of a vehicle that, upon noticing its presence, made a change of direction abruptly running away.
The agents in charge of the surveillance of the control managed to intercept the vehicle, which was occupied by three men of 41, 26 and 19 years of age, all of them residents of Badalona, and who were seized different tools that they hid in the car between they a large ax.
Also, after checking the vehicle data, it was verified that it had been stolen that same day.
In addition to the criminal charges, the occupants of the vehicle were administratively denounced for failing to comply with the containment measures established in the Royal Decree due to the state of alarm.
The action was carried out by agents belonging to the USECIC (Citizen Security Unit) of the Commandery of the Civil Guard of Barcelona.
The proceedings, instructed by the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Commandery of the Civil Guard of Barcelona, together with the detainees were made available to the Court of Instruction of the Guard of Vilafranca del Penedés.
