The Civil Guard detains three people who illegally occupied two houses using one as a stolen objects warehouse
The primary perpetrators are a couple, with a history of violent crime, and are accused of stabbing a man.
From the occupied house they planned the robberies in factories and neighboring houses
The Civil Guard has detained three people, two men and one woman, in Ibi (Alicante), as alleged perpetrators of three crimes of robbery with force in things and two minor crimes of usurpation of domicile. They had usurped a house to live and another to store the objects stolen in robberies committed by surrounding houses. 158 kilos of copper and 220 kilos of other metals have been seized, as well as a multitude of stolen tools.
Agents of the Investigation Area of the Civil Guard of Ibi detected in April a slight increase in thefts committed in a very focused area of the municipality, confirming that most of these crimes had occurred in the vicinity of a house that was being busy.
This house had not only been usurped to reside, but also served as an operations center to commit and plan robberies in factories and neighboring houses. The detainees mainly removed copper pipes and taps. Given the volume of the stolen merchandise, they decided to occupy another house next to the main one to use it as a warehouse.
Police records
One of the detainees has a multitude of antecedents for similar crimes and, together with his partner, the perpetrators of the stabbing of a man were allegedly killed in front of the illegally occupied home last February.
The detainees have been placed at the disposal of the judicial authority, continuing the operation in which their participation in other robberies is being investigated.
