The next day another driver was intercepted again, driving in the opposite direction and also tripling the blood alcohol level, on the A-49 highway near Ayamonte (Huelva)
The Civil Guard, has proceeded to the arrest of two people who were driving in the opposite direction on the highway from Seville to Portugal, during the last December bridge, both under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
The first action took place at 12:38 am on December 5 when three notices were received at the 112 central office of the existence of an all-terrain vehicle traveling in the opposite direction on the A-49 highway, in the province of Seville. .
For this reason, the Central COTA of the Traffic Subsector of the Civil Guard, activated the patrols in service to intercept it as soon as possible, also giving notice to the Traffic patrols of the province of Huelva.
Likewise, the Traffic Management Center based at the Seville Traffic Headquarters managed to locate the aforementioned vehicle through the cameras, so a patrol was placed at its height from km 26 of the aforementioned highway, using the devices priority and acoustic for 10 kilometers, ordering the immediate stop.
Once intercepted in the province of Huelva, the driver was subjected to the breathalyzer test, tripling the maximum allowed alcohol level (0.78 mg / l).

The second performance took place the following day, at 9:30 p.m. on the same A-49 highway, at the height of the town of Ayamonte (Huelva), km. 132, where a patrol from the Huelva Civil Guard Command intercepted the driver of a passenger car traveling in the opposite direction, tripling the BAC (0.72 mg / l).
Both drivers are being investigated for the alleged crimes of reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
It should be noted that during the week of December 7 to 13, the DGT has launched a new alcohol and drug campaign, in which the agents of the Civil Guard Traffic Group will intensify controls on this risk factor , which not only increases the rate of accident incidents, but also their severity. The campaign is carried out within the calendar of actions carried out by TISPOL (International Organization of Traffic Police).
