The Civil Guard locates in a vehicle 100 kilos of meat not suitable for human consumption
The meat was distributed in plastic bags scattered throughout the passenger compartment and without the corresponding health documentation
The driver was denounced for transporting meat products without the corresponding food traceability and for lacking the necessary commercial and / or sanitary documentation, thus constituting an important risk factor for people's health due to its impact on the food chain
The Civil Guard has seized 100 kilos of meat products declared unfit for human consumption in a town in the Gúdar-Javalambre region (Teruel), as they were transported in a vehicle without the minimum refrigeration conditions and without the corresponding health documentation .
The action took place during the various devices established in the province due to the state of alarm caused by the COVID-19 virus. In these devices, it was learned that a tourism made several journeys between different locations and, therefore, it was verified if the causes were duly justified.
In one of these trips, the agents intercepted the vehicle that was transporting 100 kilos of chicken and beef, distributed in plastic bags that were scattered throughout the passenger compartment. Likewise, other foods were found whose sale is prohibited by European regulations. For all this, they denounced the driver of the vehicle and intervened the merchandise.
