The Civil Guard locates the body of a missing mountaineer in the Sierra de Ayllón
This person disappeared at the beginning of November when he was on a route from Riofrío de Riaza to the Port of La Quesera
The Civil Guard has located, in the area known as "La Buitrera" in the municipality of Riofrío de Riaza (Segovia), the lifeless body of the CMS mountaineer, who disappeared on November 3, 2019, when he was making a journey mountain through the Sierra de Ayllón, on the border of the provinces of Segovia and Guadalajara.
Once the Civil Guard became aware of the disappearance of this person, their search began, resulting in the location of the vehicle in the town of Riofrío de Riaza. For this reason, the search was continued for the area where the mountaineer could have gone.
It is worth noting the difficulty of the search, due to the rugged terrain of the area, the snow, blizzards and sub-zero temperatures that it has made during these past months.
As a result of the established devices, yesterday morning, the missing person was located.
Agents from the Mountain Service, Cynological Service, Air Service and troops from different units of the Segovia Civil Guard Command have participated in the search device.
The Civil Guard thanks the collaboration of other organizations that have participated in the search device, such as the Alpine Red Cross, the Zaragoza Fire Department with four dogs and the Forest Nursery of the Junta de Castilla y León.
