The Civil Guard locates two people who were missing

They are an 83-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman, who disappeared from a nursing home where they resided and who suffer from cognitive impairment

The Civil Guard has located and rescued two elderly people, suffering from cognitive impairment, who had disappeared from the nursing home where they resided and were missing. These two people had been absent from said center in the morning and their whereabouts were unknown.

After receiving the Service Operational Center (COS) of the Civil Guard of Madrid the notice informing of this disappearance, an operation was initiated with various units of the Corps to search and locate these people.
The Helicopter Group of the Civil Guard Air Service based in Torrejón de Ardoz is activated, which begins a reconnaissance of the area bordering the perimeter of the residence and its adjacent roads. About 8:00 p.m. it is observed by the helicopter crew as between an area of ​​brambles and trees, in the place known as "Cordel de la Calleja de los Poyales", next to the Tejo river, in the municipality of Guadarrama (Madrid), there were two people who matched the description and characteristics of the missing persons.
After landing the aircraft, two members of the crew approached these people to help them as they were trapped in the brambles. Both were very disoriented, dehydrated and bruised, the woman presenting symptoms of hypothermia, due to the low temperatures in the area.
Agents of the Mountain Rescue and Intervention Group of the Civil Guard who traveled by vehicle to the point marked by the helicopter crew helped these people and take them to a health center in the town of Guadarrama.
