The Civil Guard surprises a surfer and a swimmer on the beaches of Guardamar del Segura (Alicante)
These two people made sure to go to places of difficult access to avoid being seen and reported
The Civil Guard has identified and denounced two people who were carrying out aquatic activities on two beaches in Guardamar del Segura (Alicante).
The performance took place when the Civil Guard received two phone calls from anonymous citizens warning that, from their windows, they could see one person surfing and another taking a bath, respectively.
The first case was a surfer who was in a dune area with very difficult access and with traffic restricted to vehicles. The agents had to drive around the port area of the town by car, and then continue walking until they reached this person. Upon identifying him, the man alleged that he did not know that playing sports in water was prohibited.
The second offense was committed by another man who decided to take a bath in the area known as the "fishermen's houses". This area is characterized by having a beach that is impossible to see from the road, since the houses next to it prevent its view.
Both men have been proposed for infringement, for failing to comply with the prohibition of movement order established by Royal Decree 463/2020.
