In the first three months of the year, 1,736 protected homes and 1,051 homes were provisionally classified.
According to the statistics of the assessed value of the property published by the Ministry of Public Works, in the first quarter of 2019, 12,251 free dwellings were completed, which represents decreases in quarter-on-quarter rate of 16.9% and 0.2% year-on-year , since in the fourth quarter of 2018, 14,741 were completed and during the first quarter of 2018, 12,273 homes were completed.
Between April 2018 and March 2019, 59,355 free homes were completed, while in the previous 12 months, 51,331 were completed, representing an increase of 15.6%.
The series of free housing starts has not been updated, accumulating four quarters of delay, due to the lack of data at source.
The estimation of the number of free dwellings is obtained by indirect methods from the dwellings contained in the execution projects endorsed by the Associations of Architects.
Protected housing and rehabilitation
During the first quarter of 2019, 1,736 protected homes and 1,051 homes were provisionally classified.
Between April 2018 and March 2019, 10,556 homes were provisionally rated and 5,670 permanently, which represents increases of 21.8% and 34.6% respectively.
61% of the provisional ratings for 2018 belonged to the State Housing and Rehabilitation Plan. Regarding the type of promoter of the provisional ratings for 2018, 15.1% were cooperative, 0.9% were self-promotion and 83.9% were public or private promoters.
During the months of January, February and March 2019, the number of final rehabilitation approvals was 1,011.
