The councilor of VOX in the Fuengirola City Council, Antonio Luna, has denounced in a Motion presented in the Consistory that all the responsibility of the outbreaks be charged to the hospitality sector, when only 10% of the infections are related to this activity.
Luna denounces in her letter that The Executive promotes some measures in the Interterritorial Council and leaves their adoption and application in the hands of the autonomous communities, while "maintaining a situation of total lack of control" at airports and borders throughout the country, through which hundreds of infected people are constantly being introduced without effective measures being taken to prevent it.
Remember, in addition, the mayor of VOX that "The closure of the general hospitality at 01:00 hours is not based on any scientific criteria that demonstrate a greater risk of contagion after that time". However, according to the Andalusian Federation of Hotels, Restaurants and Cafeterias (HORECA) it has warned that this measure will cause meetings to be held outside the establishments.
On the other hand, the councilor warns of the dubious legality of these restrictive measures, which will possibly cause an avalanche of legal actions with an uncertain outcome.
Thus, the motion of the councilor asks the Fuengirola City Council to urge the Junta de Andalucía to establish a channel of dialogue with the representatives of the sector to agree on the urgent modification of the Order of August 16, 2020 of the Ministry of Health and Families, for which coordinated actions in public health are implemented.
Finally, the mayor urges the City Council to require the Government of Spain to nullify the agreement signed with the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces and desist from its claims to expropriate part of the municipal surplus.
