The government and its supporters are not interested in the transportation needs of young people in Aragon. VOX had proposed conducting a study on the transportation needs of young people up to 26 years of age. Despite having the support of PP and Ciudadanos, the PnL was rejected in Commission.

Santiago Morón himself, spokesperson for VOX in Aragon, told him on his Twitter account @SMoron_VOX: "Incredible but true. PSOE, Podemos, CHA, PAR and IU reject the proposal to carry out a study to respond to the transport needs of young people up to 26 years of age in Aragon ”.

The rejected proposal

The VOX PnL advocated a study to assess the transportation needs of young people up to 26 years of age in the Community of Aragon. And based on the study, establish special rates to encourage the use of collective transport by road and rail.

Likewise, start lines of collaboration with the Provincial Councils of Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel. Also local corporations and the Government of Aragon itself. To promote and encourage the use of collective transport among young people up to 26 years of age in the Community of Aragon.

In other communities yes

VOX in Aragón proposed the implementation of special rates for young people aged up to 26 years. A measure that would mean an improvement for the collective in passenger transport in our community.

Transportation is a right of citizens to the option of having mobility in provinces that are victims of depopulation. In other provinces and regions there are incentives and aid to different groups. To make life easier for people who have no other mobility option other than public transport.

Without going any further, the Community of Madrid itself has established a card for this group with a flat rate that facilitates movement throughout the region, and even exceeding its territorial limits through agreements with other communities.

One of the bets of VOX in Aragon lies in the fight against the depopulation of the towns of Aragon. And its backbone to promote and energize the economy of the region.

On the other hand, promoting the use of public transport would significantly improve the economic conditions of young people. Hence the importance of launching social initiatives of this type that facilitate their mobility for young people.
