• The Executive is proposing to bear the cost of certifications of the secure tourism seal prepared by ICTE in support of the sector

The Popular Parliamentary Group has urged the Government, through a battery of questions in Congress, to clarify whether it plans to emulate other countries in our environment with bilateral "negotiations" that promote the revival of tourism and the elimination of quarantine to Visitors imposed by the Executive of
Pedro Sánchez.

Likewise, the Popular Group also asks the Government, among other things, if it plans to bear the cost of the certifications of the secure tourism seal launched by ICTE, what promotional actions are contemplated by Turespaña and if the measures adopted so far meet the needs of the sector and are on par with other Plans approved by different countries around us.

With this battery of initiatives, signed by the general secretary of the Popular Parliamentary Group, Guillermo Mariscal, and the Tourism spokesman of the GPP, Agustín Almodóbar, the Popular Group asks the following questions to the Executive:

– What negotiations is the Government of Spain carrying out in order to achieve bilateral agreements with other countries, as neighboring states have done, to
eliminate quarantines and be able to reactivate tourism as soon as possible?

– Has the Government considered helping the tourism sector by subsidizing or bearing the cost of the certifications requested by tourism companies to obtain the seal that identifies them as a safe and contagion-free environment prepared by ICTE?

– What are each and every one of the promotional actions that TURESPAÑA plans to carry out for the first time in the national territory and when it foresees
start them?

– What are each and every one of the support measures for the tourism sector approved by the Government of Spain between March 14 and 31?

– What are each and every one of the support measures for the tourism sector approved by the Government of Spain between April 1 and 15?

– What are each and every one of the support measures for the tourism sector approved by the Government of Spain between April 16 and 30?

– What are each and every one of the measures to support the tourism sector approved by the Government of Spain between May 1 and 15?

– How does the Government assess that only 23% of Spanish hoteliers have decided to open their businesses in the first phase of the de-escalation?

– What is the number of companies linked to the tourism sector that have caused a drop since March 14 and will not reopen their doors?

– Does the Government of Spain consider that it is at the same level or level with regard to supporting the Spanish tourism sector through different measures in comparison
with the plans announced by countries like Italy, Germany, France or Portugal?

– What negotiations is the Government of Spain carrying out with the different airlines to resume flights to our destinations as soon as possible?

– Does the Government believe that a reduction in the VAT rate that is applied to tourist activities would be a favorable measure for the reactivation of consumption and tourist demand in Spain?

– Does the Government of Spain believe that labor, financial, tax, rent payments and support to the Spanish tourism sector covers and satisfies the
needs of the same before the crisis of COVID19?
