Supports opponents who want the face-to-face election versus telematics, or a certified confirmation system in real time
The Popular Parliamentary Group has presented a Proposal not of Law in the Congress in which it urges the Government to urgently apply the necessary measures to guarantee that the election of the MIR places of specialized health training of the 2019/20 call is carried out with transparency , equality of conditions and safely in the face of the COVID pandemic.
Specifically, the Popular Group, in line with the opponents, proposes that the election be in person compared to the telematics in force by Order of the Ministry of Health, or through a system that enables the certified confirmation in real time of said places, in the case of university degrees, bachelor's and diploma in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing and in the field of Psychology, Chemistry, Biology and Physics, always with the necessary security measures for the coronavirus.
PLACES STOPPED BY CORONAVIRUS
In the explanatory memorandum of the initiative, it is recalled that the crisis generated by COVID-19 has altered the management of this year's call, so that after the examination was held on January 25 and coinciding with the start of the pandemic, the choice of places and the subsequent incorporation of applicants were paralyzed.
Subsequently, with the publication in the Official State Gazette of a Health Order on May 13 on the offer of places and call for selective tests 2019 for access in 2020 in the aforementioned degrees, the Government stated that, for the first time, This selection would be telematic for security reasons.
This instruction provoked virtual demonstrations by the opponents in which they have been especially critical of the Government – with the Ministry of Health and its General Directorate for Professional Organization – for "the lack of transparency in the processing of academic records, the ignorance of the deadlines for the choice of positions, lack of equity in the evaluation of the merits and uncertainty in the guarantee of the election of the position itself by electronic means ”.
THE PP SUPPORTS THE OPPOSITORS 'REQUEST FOR A FAIR ELECTION
Similarly, opponents request the Executive "a fair election, with full guarantees, in equal conditions and safe with a face-to-face system -or an alternative that enables confirmation in real time- that adapts to the situation" generated by the pandemic.
For all these reasons, the GPP has presented Proposition no of Law for the election of the MIR plaza from transparency, in equal conditions and with security against the coronavirus, signed by the spokesperson of the Popular Group, Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo, together with the Deputy Secretary of PP Cuca Gamarra, Deputy GPP spokesman José Ignacio Echániz, Health spokesperson Elvira Velasco, and Deputies Eduardo Carazo and Diego Gago.
