It claims to know the medium and long-term structural adjustments to meet the demands of the European partners on these funds
The Popular Parliamentary Group has demanded the Government, through a battery of initiatives in Congress, to specify its plans for reforms and adjustments so that Spain captures European aid for the recovery of the antiCOVID-19 fund.
Specifically, the GPP indicates that, based on the total volume of the European Reconstruction Plan, Spain would receive some 144,000 million of said funds, of which 77,000 million would be grants.
The Popular Group recalls that "the Franco-German axis insisted on the need for adjustments and structural reforms", which is why the deputy spokesperson for the GPP, Mario Garcés, and the deputy Beatriz Álvarez Fanjul, ask the following questions to the Executive:
– What medium-long-term plan has the Government of Spain designed regarding structural reforms to meet the demands of European partners?
– How much does the Government of Spain estimate that it will save in terms of interest on the debt due to the loans made through the Reconstruction Fund and that will prevent the Kingdom of Spain from going to the markets, at least, for the equivalent amount?
– Given the news of the last days about the proposal of the Transfer Plan of the European Union and the quota corresponding to Spain, why did the Government of Spain insist so much on negotiating flexible conditions for the ESM, if at no time did it consider going to the? Why was it rejected in the first instance to go to the MEDE but not to the SURE? Is this due to liquidity problems when facing the payment of ERTEs?
