The following spoke: Pablo Casado, Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo, Alejandro Fernández, Rosa Díez, Álvaro Pombo and Ana Losada

The Popular Parliamentary Group will celebrate next Thursday, September 12, its first days in the Congress of Deputies under the title ‘Spaniards in Defense of the Common’. This was announced today by the spokeswoman, Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo, at the New Economy Forum informational breakfast in Barcelona, in which she presented the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

In the meeting, organized by the Group in the Lower House, the national president of the Popular Party, Pablo Casado, and the president of the PP in Catalonia, Alejandro Fernández, will participate. The co-founder of UPyD Rosa Díez will also take the floor; the writer Álvaro Pombo and the president of the Assembly for a Bilingual School, Ana Losada.

The fundamental objective of these days is “to constantly search for the sum and the common”, as Álvarez de Toledo has expressed in the aforementioned breakfast; as well as "making it clear that there will be no breach of the law without punishment, because the law is a source of freedom, legal certainty and living in peace."

At a time marked by segregation, differentiation and confrontation, the search for the common is essential. From the GPP we will do everything in our power to add, to regroup, to reintegrate, to seek agreements in the space of reason. A wide space in which we share common democratic values against populisms and nationalisms.
