• This month's credit activity is a sample of the positive evolution that the ICO Lines are registering as of the second quarter of 2013.
  • The increase in the volume lent with respect to the previous month has been 91%.

The Official Credit Institute has granted 2,334 million euros in loans to the self-employed and SMEs through the ICO Lines during the month of July 2013.

This is the highest amount in the granting of ICO Lines loans during the month of July in the last three years, before the start of the financial crisis in the Eurozone.

The volume granted in July has meant a 91% increase in ICO's credit activity compared to last June.

Thus, the change in trend in the ICO's credit activity is confirmed, observing an upward trend for the seventh consecutive month. Since the beginning of this year, the granting of ICO Lines loans has experienced an acceleration, especially evident since March.

With this last data for the month of July, the volume lent by ICO to Spanish self-employed and companies so far this year amounts to 6,500 million euros.

These data demonstrate the good evolution of the ICO Lines so far this year, in parallel with the positive performance of the Spanish economy in recent months.

Likewise, the commitment of the collaborating financial institutions with the financing of SMEs, entrepreneurs and the internationalization of Spanish companies is confirmed.
