• This month's credit activity is a sample of the positive evolution that the ICO Lines are registering as of the second quarter of 2013.
  • The increase in the volume borrowed compared to the previous month has been 91%.

The Official Credit Institute has granted 2,334 million euros in loans to freelancers and SMEs through the ICO Lines during the month of July 2013.

This is the highest amount in the granting of loans of the ICO Lines during the month of July in the last three years, before the start of the financial crisis in the Eurozone.

The volume granted in July has meant a 91% increase in the credit activity of the ICO compared to last June.

Thus, the change in the trend in the credit activity of the ICO is confirmed, with an upward trend being observed for the seventh consecutive month. Since the beginning of this year, the granting of loans from the ICO Lines has experienced an acceleration, especially since March.

With this last data of the month of July, the volume lent by ICO to self-employed and Spanish companies so far this year amounts to 6,500 million euros.

These data demonstrate the good evolution of the ICO Lines so far this year, in parallel to the positive progress of the Spanish economy in recent months.

Likewise, the commitment of the collaborating financial entities with the financing of SMEs, entrepreneurs and the internationalization of Spanish companies is confirmed.
