His Majesty the King attended the ceremony of the Enterprise Night of the Confederation of Employers of the province of Cádiz, CEC, which was held at the Rota Naval Base. The event has brought together a thousand attendees around the recognition of the importance that companies have for the improvement of society, the generation of employment, wealth and value, as well as the institutions that contribute to economic development.

The Night of the Company has recognized the trajectories of the Hervaz Business Group, the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras and, on an equal footing, to the five wine companies of the province of Cádiz that maintain, after more than six generations, their management and guardianship in the hands of the same families: Barbadillo, Caballero, Delgado Zuleta, González Byass and Osborne.

Business Group Hervaz. The CEC recognizes the trajectory of this company, founded in 1950 by Manuel Vázquez Fernández, dedicated to agricultural and livestock activities. In 1966, the company acquired the Dehesa de las Yeguas, in the Alcornocales Natural Park, an emblematic operation of the family group. From there, it begins its diversification in different sectors: energy, real estate, industrial (first ice producer in Europe), innovation applied to the agri-food sector, engineering, consulting, medicine, etc. The recognition of the CEC wants to make visible the impetus, effort and generation of wealth by this family business. Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras. The recognition of entrepreneurs in the province of Cádiz stresses the importance and economic traction of the first port of Spain, that of Algeciras. This infrastructure generates, according to various studies, More than 28,000 jobs -Direct, indirect and induced- and 2,010 million euros of Gross Value Added to the Andalusian economy. The CEC extends its recognition to the value chain of this important economic generator and its incalculable strategic value as a point of access to Europe from the South. Lastly, the CEC recognizes, on an equal footing, the five wine companies in the province of Cádiz that have maintained their management in the hands of the same families since its inception: Barbadillo, Caballero, Delgado Zuleta, González Byass and Osborne. These companies are managed by sixths, sevenths, octaves and, in some cases by the ninth generation of families, which symbolizes and represents the province's business tradition, the effort to maintain and continue emblematic activities through its brands and products, icons recognized worldwide. The Admiral of the Fleet, ALFLOT, Manuel Garat Caramé, received a Spanish flag, a replica of the combat flag of the flagship of the Navy, King Juan Carlos I, in recognition of the thousands of men and women who make up the contingent of our Marina in the province of Cádiz.
