The minister has extended an invitation to the Secretary General to officially visit Spain in the framework of the United Nations 75th Anniversary. Likewise, the minister has held a meeting with the President of the General Assembly, Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, who has transferred Spain's commitment to multilateralism, with the work of the United Nations in the fight against terrorism, with the reform of the Security Council and with the gender equality, bearing in mind the need to take advantage of the Beijing commemoration +25 to maintain the consensus reached 25 years ago in areas such as sexual and reproductive health or the economic and political empowerment of women.
The minister has participated in a High Level Panel on Children and Armed Conflicts chaired by the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs and the High Representative of the Secretary General for children and armed conflict, Virginia Gamba, where she has expressed the full support of Spain To this agenda.
