The Minister of Justice asks to respect the constitutional mandate for the renovation of the main institutions of the State

In the act of delivery of the Awards 'Puñetas' 2019, his first public intervention after taking office as a minister on Monday, Campo has stressed that only then can Justice be that superior value of our coexistence advocated by the Spanish Constitution.

Regarding his project at the head of the Ministry of Justice, Juan Carlos Campo has stated that "he has everyone so that Justice has the necessary effective judicial protection that the constituents expressed." Among other measures, it has pledged to address the dispute so that Justice can give a response to the citizen in a reasonable time, in compliance with what is expressed by the European Court of Human Rights.

In this sense, its intention is to bring together from Justice "the most valuable efforts" of the competent administrations, the political class, the judicial system as a whole, and the professional associations and associations to meet the needs of Justice. "To all of them I ask for will and path," he stressed, "to give citizens what they legitimately claim."

The prizes 'Puñetas' 2019 of the Association of Communicators and Legal Reporters ACIJUR have fallen in this edition in Miquel Roca i Junyent, Pilar Pérez Solano, José Ramón Chaves García and in the constitutional Court, for his 40 years of work as an interpreter of the Magna Carta. Finally, the 'Go Fucking' Prize has gone to the fake news.

The minister has asked the media for effort and commitment to deal with false news, and to enable citizens to be "creditor and deserving" of truthful information, as established by the Constitution in their article 20.1. Only then, he said, will we have a "free and critical citizenship with power."
