The Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare has accredited 1,488 new places of specialized health training, on June 26, 2019.
Of those 1,488 new places, 823 correspond to Medicine; 599 Nursing; 46 Clinical psychology; 7 Hospital Pharmacy; 5 Radiophysics; and 8 access by several degrees.
Of the total of Medicine, it should be noted that 327 places correspond to Family and Community Medicine and 52 places of Pediatrics. Of the nursing positions, 387 are Family and Community Nursing.
The Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare has held meetings with responsible Specialized Health Training of all the autonomous communities, INGESA (in charge of the health management of Ceuta and Melilla) and the Ministry of Defense to resolve the 561 records of accreditation of teaching units that had been accumulated in the Ministry, some since April 2011.
In those meetings, aspects of the pending files have been updated, the reports of the National Commissions have been reviewed and, jointly, decisions have been taken to resolve these 561 cases.
The Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare thus fulfills the commitment acquired last September to resolve pending requests for accreditation before the end of the first semester of 2019.
In addition, during the month of May, a deadline was opened for the presentation of new applications in order to have an offer of places for the 2019-2020 Specialized Sanitary Training call as adapted as possible to the current and future needs of the Health services.
The total number of places that will be offered in the 2019-2020 call will be decided in the Human Resources Commission of the SNS.
