The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has sent 12 air resources to support Catalonia, for the third consecutive day, in the extinction of the forest fire declared in the town of Torre de l'Espanyol, in Tarragona.

2 amphibious Canadair airplanes, with 5,500 liters of discharge capacity, have been moved to area 2, from the Torrejón bases in Madrid and Zaragoza.

Also, the Ministry has sent to this fire a Kamov-type bomber helicopter with a capacity of 4,500 liters, which is based in Muchamiel (Alicante).

Two airtractor 802 cargo planes, with a capacity of 3,100 liters of storage capacity, are also fighting this fire, from the base of Empuriabrava (Girona), as well as 2 Fireboss amphibious planes, from the Reus base (Tarragona).

Also, specialists of two brigades of reinforcement in forest fires (BRIF), of the bases of Daroca (Zaragoza) and Prado de los Esquiladores (Cuenca) fight the fire from the ground. Each of these two brigades is equipped with two transport and extinction helicopters.

In a complementary manner, a communications plane (ACO) has been sent from Matacán (Salamanca) to take the necessary images to know the situation of the accident.
