The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has sent, for the second consecutive day, air resources and brigades specializing in work to extinguish the forest fire declared in Gavilanes (Ávila), to support the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León in the fight against calls.
It also collaborates with the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha, with the sending of high-capacity air resources for the extinction of the fires declared in the vicinity of Toledo and Almorox in the same province and with the Autonomous Community of Catalonia to extinguish the fire of Torre de l'Espanyol in Tarragona.
At the fire of Gavilanes, two amphibious planes of 5,500 liters of discharge from the base of Matacán in Salamanca have been displaced. Also fighting the flames from the air two helicopters Kamov with helibalde of 4,500 liters coming from Mutxamel (Alicante) and Las Minas (Guadalajara).
To support the work of the director of extinction, the Ministry has sent to the area a communications and observation aircraft that sends aerial images in real time about the situation of the fire.
In order to reinforce the work of extinction collaborate from the ground three brigades of reinforcement against forest fires accompanied by five helicopters of transport and unloading of the bases of the Iglesuela (Toledo), Puerto el Pico (Avila) and Laza (Orense).
They also work, for the second consecutive day, aerial means in the Toledo fires. In the Almorox fire in this province, a large capacity Kamov helicopter from the Huelma base in Jaén and two amphibious Canadair aircraft from the Torrejón base (Madrid) work.
Two Canadair airplanes from the bases of Los Llanos in Albacete and Torrejón in Madrid have been sent to the outskirts of Toledo.
To fight against the fire declared in Torre de l'Espanyol, in Tarragona, two extinction aircraft of the Reus bases in the same province have also been sent.
