The Council of Ministers plans to approve tomorrow the seven projects of the INNPRONTA program. The Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, through the Secretary of State for R + D + i, finances this program with 98.7 million euros through grants and loans, aimed at large strategic industrial research projects, great dimension and long scientific-technical scope, in future technological areas, with international economic and commercial projection. The mentioned areas are: energy, environment and climate change; biotechnology, health and food; transport and information and telecommunications technologies.
INNPRONTA projects, lasting four years, have been approved by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) and represent a qualitative leap in R&D collaboration between companies and research organizations. Regarding the latter, the participation of universities (48.28%), followed by public research centers (32.18%) and innovation and technology centers (19.54%), should be highlighted.
This program, which involves a great budgetary effort (ranges between 12 and 16 million euros for each project), is of an ambitious scientific-technical scope and is specified in the following projects:
- LIFE: Eresa leads a research project that addresses the problem of breast cancer, a major technological, health and social challenge. LIFE's goal is to improve effective patient care through the application and development of new techniques and products.
- INCOMES: Morella is the leading company in this project, which aims to develop a standardized methodology for the scientific validation of foods and ingredients with healthy and functional characteristics.
- IISIS: The FCC construction company is leading this project in which, through its lines of research, it will respond to the search for more innovative and sustainable technological alternatives than the traditional solutions currently used in buildings.
- ADAM: Boeing leads this initiative, which focuses on the study of industrial interest of a variety of autonomous mobile systems, which are those whose elements, in whole or in part, are shipped in vehicles that move in a geophysical context.
- PERIGEE: Deimos is the most visible company in a project that seeks quantifiable progress in the state of different technologies in the aerospace field and that results in more reliable and autonomous systems to be integrated into vehicles in any field.
- ITACA: Adasa Sistemas leads this project, which aims to investigate new concepts of industrial or urban wastewater treatment technologies that allow, in an efficient and sustainable way, to convert the current treatment process into a strategy for reuse, use of substances , by-products and waste, and energy recovery, minimizing impacts on the natural environment.
- CITY 2020: Indra is leading an idea that aims to define a new rupture model of a sustainable, efficient and citizen-oriented city, with a vocation to be exported worldwide.
