The museums and state archives under the Ministry of Culture and Sport temporarily suspend their activities for the public throughout the national territory

The Ministry of Culture and Sports, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, has decided to adopt a series of temporary measures in order to guarantee the health of visitors, users and workers of the museums and state archives present throughout the Spanish territory.

These measures basically consist of the temporary suspension of their activities facing the public, and will affect the National Museum of Underwater Archeology (ARQVA), in Cartagena, Murcia; Sephardic Museum and El Greco Museum, in Toledo; Altamira National Museum and Research Center, in Santillana del Mar, Cantabria; National Sculpture Museum and Casa de Cervantes Museum, in Valladolid; National Museum of Roman Art, in Mérida; National Museum of Ceramics and Sumptuary Arts "González Martí", in Valencia; General Archive of the Indies, in Seville; General Archive of Simancas, in Simancas, Valladolid; Archive of the Crown of Aragon, in Barcelona; Archive of the Royal Chancery, in Valladolid; Documentary Center of Historical Memory, in Salamanca; and Historical Archive of Nobility, in Toledo.

This provision will take effect from tomorrow, March 13, until further notice. The adoption of these measures is subject to the evolution of this extraordinary situation and is liable to be suspended or modified according to the guidelines of the health authorities.
