§ At the time of entry into the establishment, the agents identified 28 people who were playing simultaneously at three tables. § One of the identified, who served as a croupier, carried 1,750 euros at the time of registration, an amount that coincides with the number of players who were in the place and the price set for registration
§ Taking into account the number of players, and the sanctions imposed on the offenses committed by the tournament against the legislation of the game, the amount of these could exceed 100,000 euros
§ This operation has been carried out by the Gambling and Betting Control Service of the National Police which, among its functions, is responsible for monitoring compliance with current regulations on private gambling, the persecution of clandestine gambling and the inspection of premises, gambling halls, casinos and bingos, exercising as a National Central Office of this specialty throughout Spain § To ensure that the game is safe and done in a responsible manner, the National Police controls compliance with access controls to the premises so that no minor can access – and of course play – in addition to those who have voluntarily decided to ban themselves for the practice of the game
