The general director of the Police, Francisco Pardo Piqueras, accompanied by the general deputy director of Logistics and Innovation, José García Molina, has presented the new Toyota Prius + units that represent a technological leap in the police fleet § The new vehicles represent the first phase of the implementation of a new model of patrolling, becoming mobile offices trained to perform procedures that, until now, could only be carried out in fixed positions
Its technological features will allow the automatic check of vehicle license plates – 400 license plates per minute with instant recognition -, a system for reading and automatically consulting documentation or sending and receiving images in real time
The acquisition shows the commitment of the General Directorate of the Police with clean and environmentally sustainable technologies, with more efficient units that manage to reduce the carbon footprint
