The number of insured vehicles in Spain stood at 31,772,953 units at the end of the third quarter of 2019. This figure represents a year-on-year increase of 1.89%, according to data from the Insured Vehicle Information File (FIVA). Thus, the number of motor vehicles that circulate in the streets and roads of the country has increased by 587,907 units in the last 12 months.

The insured park has remained practically stable in quarterly terms. The period formed by the months of July, August and September of this year presents a growth rate of 0.60% compared to the quarter formed by the months of April, May and June. The increase has been 190,544 units between one and the other.

So far this year, there have been 8,890,687 vehicle registrations and 8,572,766 casualties. This translates into a positive balance of 317,921 units so far this year.
