The president of ICO, José Carlos García Quevedo and the president of CEPYME, Gerardo Cuerva have signed a collaboration agreement between both entities that It establishes the incorporation of ICO into the CEPYME500 project that CEPYME has been developing since 2017.

The collaboration will allow the promotion and provision of financing solutions adapted to the needs of the companies integrated in this project, which will allow them to continue leading business growth and contribute significantly to the growth of the economy and employment.

CEPYME500 is an initiative of CEPYME, with which annually identify, select and promote a group of 500 companies that lead business growth, both for their results and for their ability to generate added value, employment, innovation and international projection. The companies selected since 2017 make up a select group of more than 800 medium-sized companies, for which a series of indicators have been evaluated that measure the company's growth, solvency and potential for innovation and international projection.

The main objective of this project is to grant CEPYME500 companies the recognition and national and international projection they deserve, while offering support in areas such as promotion; networking; the innovation; internationalization or the provision of personalized and exclusive solutions in terms of financing, digitization, etc.

To this end, together with the sensitization and training sessions that take place within this initiative, CEPYME500 companies have an innovative digital platform at their disposal where high value-added services are provided and provides them with greater visibility, boosting their growth and facilitating their efficient adaptation to the demands of the markets.

The president of the ICO, José Carlos García de Quevedo, stressed that "the incorporation of the ICO into the CEPYME500 initiative is another step in the actions being carried out by the Institute to promote the growth of companies, one of the axes of priority actions for the period 2019-2021.It is important that from the public sector we contribute to SMEs gaining size to be more competitive and able to internationalize.In addition, the growth of companies favors investment in innovation, one of the pillars on which which should support the development of the business fabric of our country. "

On the other hand, Gerardo Cuerva, president of CEPYME, has indicated that "The CEPYME500 project is reinforced with the incorporation of the ICO, since this public entity has a proven experience of success in the provision of financing instruments adapted to business needs and provides essential value for the interaction and advice of companies CEPYME500 ". Currently CEPYME500 companies are being widely recognized in their field of activity closer to the territory in which they operate and presented as references also internationally.
