It also requests an extraordinary and comprehensive bonus for Social Security contributions and contributions to pension systems
Salanueva has explained that these bonuses and exemptions are requested in the period included during the state of alarm
Remember that "they have been essential workers and have had a large overexposure to the virus, aggravated by the lack of material means of protection"
"Society perfectly understands that an economic effort is made for such a cause, what it does not understand is the waste of the Government in matters such as the Government itself," he stressed
The senator of the PP for Navarra, Amelia Salanueva, has asked the Government, through a motion of the GPP debated in the House Committee on the Interior, to “approve an extraordinary and comprehensive bonus on Social Security contributions and contributions to pension systems, as well as a complete exemption from personal income tax for wages received during the state of alarm, for members of the National Police Corps, Civil Guard and regional Police, so that they are received in full, after agreement with the respective Autonomous Communities, and in charge of the General State Budgets ”. Throughout his speech, Salanueva, who has reproached the Socialists for voting against this initiative, has indicated that the State Security Forces and Bodies (FCSE), together with regional and provincial police, and local police, " they have been essential workers during the state of alarm, along with other professionals such as health workers, although in the Committee on the Interior, it is our responsibility to refer only to the former ”. Thus, he explained that the Civil Guard, National Police, Autonomous Police, Foral and also local police, in their commendable work of service to citizens, have fought to save lives, even at the cost of their own or their health; they have carried out disinfection and supply tasks; they have enforced the sanitary regulations issued; they have participated in all the tasks required whether they are within their competence and knowledge, or not ”. "In short, they have had a great overexposure to the risk caused by the virus, and aggravated by the lack of material means of protection," he added. In the same way, Salanueva recalled that unions and police associations during the hardest moments of the state of alarm have asked for means of protection. "They have done it in all possible ways, including a letter to the President of the Government, Sánchez, warning of the risk of the public security system," he remarked. Next, the senator from Navarra referred to publications in the media where this situation of lack of protection material could be seen, with expressions denouncing this lack of material such as "we have to dose misery." "And not only were they not provided media, but they did not authorize the use of external media," he explained.
MAGNIFICENT VALUATION OF THE FCSE
At another point in her speech, Amelia Salanueva also referred to the assessment of the Spanish society of the State Security Forces and Corps according to the different surveys. “They are the best valued after the toilets; although, unfortunately we have to see episodes such as Ospa Eguna, or Alsasua, or Vice President Iglesias himself, who a few days ago stated that police or military are not needed to stop the pandemic ”, said the senator. "Not only the applause is worth, which is also necessary a concrete recognition, such as the one we ask for in the motion, that is, a retribution and also other types of recognition such as badges, medals and recognitions of those infected as a professional disease," he has put Salanueva revealed. "Society perfectly understands that an economic effort be made for such a cause, what it does not understand is the waste of Sénchez in matters such as his Government," the PP senator said emphatically, after which he detailed that "we are before the Government with higher positions in the structure of, 179 to 260, which will cost 24 million euros more than the last government of the PP ". To conclude, Salanueva affirmed that “we give the Government, Marlaska and Sánchez the opportunity to rectify and show a minimum of empathy and support for the Civil Guard, National Police, Foral Police of Navarra, Autonomous Police and Local Police with the support for the motion presented by the Popular Group ”.
