The president of the Tourism, Culture and Sports Council of CEOE, Marta Blanco, has participated in the fifth edition of the Summit Shopping Tourism & Economy, an international debate forum in which the evolution and challenges to which must deal with quality tourism and shopping.
The spokesman of the acting Spanish government, Isabel Celaá, opened the day; the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso; the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez Almeida; the executive director of UNWTO, Manuel Butler; the president and CEO of the WTTC, Gloria Guevara; and the president of the Summit Organizing Committee, J. Antonio Samaranch. All of them have highlighted the importance of betting on quality tourism that is capable of boosting the country's economy and that has sustainability as the central axis. They have also pointed out the value of the elements and resources that make Spain a worldwide reference destination.
Quality and shopping tourism
The president of the Tourism, Culture and Sports Council of CEOE, Marta Blanco, has intervened in the block related to the balance of quality tourism and shopping in Spain since 2015. In this sense, he has informed that in CEOE both factors nourish all the policies that are defended from the employer in a transversal way.
Marta Blanco recalled the need to continue working in favor of an agile and efficient visa policy, which allows attracting a greater number of long-distance tourists (China or India, among others).
