The president of CEOE International and the Tourism, Culture and Sports Council of CEOE, Marta Blanco, participated in IFEMA in the closing ceremony of the XXIII Ibero-American Conference of Ministers and Entrepreneurs (CIMET). The Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Oliver; the president of Feria de Madrid (IFEMA), Clemente González Soler; the president of the Spanish Confederation of Hotels (CEHAT), Jorge Marichal; and the president of the Spanish Confederation of Agencies (CEAV), Carlos Garrido.

In this edition, the tourism investment opportunities in Ibero-America, the current situation and the perspectives of transport and air connectivity between Spain and Latin America, the new Spanish hotel accommodation and investment establishments in the Region and the evolution of demand were analyzed. the technologies in the tourist distribution towards Latin America, among other issues.

The president of the Tourism, Culture and Sports Council of CEOE, Marta Blanco, stressed during her speech the importance of knowing the investment opportunities in Latin American countries and her effort to facilitate Spanish investments in tourism projects. On the other hand, he announced that tourism will be a priority issue at the next Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, which will be held in November in Andorra, and highlighted the need to implement and align tourism strategies Sustainable in the countries of the Region. Blanco encouraged those present to transform tourism into a sustainable activity and increase its presence on the government's agenda.

CIMET

CIMET is a debate space organized by the Nexo group, in collaboration with Fitur, Ifema and CEOE, which has been bringing together authorities and businessmen from the tourism sector of the Ibero-American region for more than two decades. On this occasion, tourism authorities from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Puerto Rico and Venezuela participated.
