The Spanish Association of Golf Courses (AECG) has joined as a new member of CEOE. This accession occurs at a critical moment for the golf industry, since in the coming months the sector will face a change in the conformation of tourism at a global level, due to the impact of the COVID-19 crisis.
As a member of CEOE, CETA will participate in several Confederation commissions and working groups, which deal with issues that especially affect the sector.
The president of the AECG, Claudia Hernández, has stated: "We are sure that the adherence of the AECG to the CEOE will be productive for both parties, since our employers group together more than 170 golf courses throughout the national territory, which they make up a key factor in the choice of Spain as a tourist destination, a fact that will be strategic in the economic recovery of our country ”.
Hernández has also underlined that CETA and CEOE share the same concerns when it comes to generating and maintaining quality employment, as well as their willingness to minimize the impact that this crisis will have on the economic growth to which both organizations contribute.
